Here is an example of a very impressive crop formation. According to an airplane pilot passing over Stonehenge as well as after a thorough two-week investigation, this pattern is said to have appeared within 45 minutes or so in July of 1996--- in broad daylight. The pilot stated he was flying over Stonehenge around 5:30 pm and did not see the pattern. He flew a path that would have taken him directly over the formation, but insisted it was not there 45 minutes before he flew over the area again, this time seeing it nearly expand his entire cockpit window. Motorists coming and going who spotted the formation gave similar statements. One motorist passing by said he glanced out the opposite window at a normal field of crop after gazing at Stonehenge, then drove back close to an hour later and noticed the enormous set of circles. This pattern is known as the spiraling Julia set, a mathematical construct representing a collection of points expanding at approx. the same rate, as described in what is known as fractal chaos theory. The formation has 149 circles in a pattern 920 feet long and 500 feet across. The largest circle is 50 feet in diameter, and the smallest is 1.2 feet. This formation also lies dead center with Earth's magnetic north in relation to parts of Stonehenge's construction pointing to magnetic north. Some men have come forward to claim responsibility for the huge formation laid down in 45 minutes, but the investigation and other agencies involved are finding that very difficult to believe. Some skepticism over the formation still remains.
